Barrel cap: 2.25 in
USSSA Slow Pitch USSSA slow pitch (adult) requires a bat marked USSSA BPF 1.20 (slowpitch). The barrel may not exceed 2.25 in. Typically ages 18-99.
2026 rulebook, Rule 2 Sec 2 (2.C.1): legal bats require the 2020 USSSA certification mark (BPF 1.20 standard) from an approved manufacturer; max 34 in / 31 oz / 2-1/4 in diameter. The 2014 mark remains league-play-only (ineligible for sanctioned events since 2023) — mark-vintage nuance not modeled in v1. Wood bats from approved USSSA manufacturers are legal per the rulebook but the v1 `wood` slug is baseball-only, so wood is recorded here in notes rather than allowed_certs.
