Babe Ruth League / Cal Ripken Cal Ripken (youth) requires a bat marked USA Baseball (USABat) or Solid one-piece wood. The barrel may not exceed 2.625 in. Typically ages 4-12.
Non-wood bats must carry the USA Baseball mark; NO BBCOR or USSSA bats in the Cal Ripken division. Solid one-piece wood permitted in all Babe Ruth divisions. Ages per Babe Ruth's division structure; the bat-rules page does not restate them.
